About the event:

The Girls Who Code Hiring Summit is a two-day virtual event featuring partner companies sharing upcoming job opportunities, answering questions, and networking with the GWC community. During the live event, attendees will have the chance to join engaging panels, network with peers and professionals, and explore company booths.

Asynchronous content in company booths will be available from September 12th through October 11th for registrants to access. Our Pre-Event Mode, or the content in company booths at the Hiring Summit, will be available from December 20 - February 9 for registrants to access.
We're excited to introduce our new Hiring Season, a comprehensive series offering complete support for your entire job search process. From updating your resume and networking with our partners to negotiating job offers and navigating difficult conversations during onboarding. These events are designed to provide you with the tools, resources, and guidance you need to succeed as you land your next internship or entry-level role.

The two-day Hiring Summit, on September 26-27, is the centerpiece of our Hiring Series, with pre-and post-Summit events designed to fully equip you for success at every stage of your job search journey.
Hiring Summit will take place on Thursday, September 26th from 4 - 7 pm ET and Friday, September 27th from 12 - 3 pm ET, on vFairs. Registrants will receive the detailed event schedule in advance.
There will be multiple opportunities for job seekers to interact with employers throughout the platform. From chats in partner booths to roundtable discussions to partner panel presentations, we are excited to create spaces for networking and career conversations. While the event itself will not host live interviews, it is a great opportunity to make connections and hold informational conversations with folks who can help land you an interview after the event!
Pre-Event mode is the static version of our virtual event. Beginning September 12th, registrants will be able to access content in company booths. This content will be available until October 11th. There will be no live chat or networking opportunities available in the Pre-Event Mode, but these will be featured during the live days on September 26th and 27th.
When the virtual space becomes available on September 12th, log into the platform to update your profile (including your resume and personal information) and explore resources that companies have added! If job opportunities are listed currently, you will be able to begin applying through the link featured on the platform. Many booths are still under construction, so be sure to check back later in September for more!
This event will include networking video calls, so please ensure you are on a device with a video camera and a microphone and are able to participate from a quiet environment. vFairs online events are fully compatible with Desktop (web) on the following browsers when updated to the latest version: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge (chromium version on Windows 10 only). Additionally, vFairs offers a free mobile application through which you can attend the event.
On vFairs, users will be able to alter the website’s design according to their needs and preferences. Once you’ve registered, you can choose an accessibility profile, with seizure-safe, vision-impaired, cognitive disability, ADHD-friendly, and additional vision or motor disability options. The platform features live video transcription and captioning, alternative text attributes for images, color-contrast toggles, text size adjustment, and simplified platform navigation with key controls. For more information on vFairs accessibility, review the platform’s features here.

Registration for job seekers will open on August 1, and will remain open until we have reached our capacity for the event. If we do reach capacity, a waitlist will be open to capture information, including resumes and LinkedIn profiles, that we can share with partner companies. Register early to hold your spot, but please cancel your registration if you can no longer attend to make space for others.
Please email your name and email address you used to register to collegeandcareers@girlswhocode.com so we may update your registration.
To ensure this is a fun, useful, educational event for all participants, and that there are enough opportunities to connect attendees, Girls Who Code has capped the number of tickets for different categories of participants. If we reach the cap, we will open a waitlist form to accept as many attendees as possible. If more tickets open up, we will notify the folks on the waitlist.
