About the event:

The Girls Who Code Hiring Summit is a one-day, live virtual event designed to connect the Girls Who Code community with job opportunities in the technical workforce and to connect hiring managers to a diverse slate of candidates for jobs.

Our Pre-Event Mode, or the content in company booths at the Hiring Summit, will be available from December 20 - February 9 for registrants to access.
Friday, January 26, 2024, from 12 pm to 5 pm ET here on vFairs. Registrants will receive the event schedule in advance and will be able to access documents, videos, links, and additional resources in company booths on the day of the event.
The virtual Hiring Summit will include several online areas for exploration, learning, and connection, including:
  • The Exhibition Hall: Partnering organizations will each have a virtual booth where they will share videos and resources about their companies, open roles, and application process. Their staff will be available to answer questions in the chat and invite attendees to one-on-one video calls for deeper conversation.
  • The Auditorium: There will be one fireside chat and three panels from partners and our GWC alumni exploring different topics related to the technical industry, early career tips and tricks, and deep dives into represented companies.
  • Interviews: Companies participating in interviews will host calls on the platform on January 26, 2024, between 12 pm - 5 pm ET. Candidates may receive interview invitations for behavioral or informational interviews at any point between January 8 - January 26, 2024.
  • Roundtables: There will be multiple small group discussions throughout the day, led by employers or our very own Girls Who Code alumni. This is a great chance to connect with peers and professionals alike.
  • Employer Networking: There will be multiple opportunities for job seekers to interact with partner employers throughout the platform. From chats in partner booths to roundtable discussions to partner panel presentations, we are excited to create spaces for networking and career conversations.
There will be multiple opportunities for job seekers to interact with employers throughout the platform. From chats in partner booths to roundtable discussions to partner panel presentations, we are excited to create spaces for networking and career conversations. Depending on company recruiting goals, some companies may schedule informational or behavioral interviews to share more about their company and upcoming opportunities with attendees and consider their eligibility for available roles.
Pre-Event mode is the static version of our virtual event. Beginning December 20, registrants will be able to access content in company booths and indicate interest in learning more about the company in their booths. This content will be available until February 9. There will be no chat or networking opportunities available in the Pre-Event Mode, but these will be featured during the live event on January 26th.
Log into the platform when the virtual space becomes available by December 20, 2023, to update your profile (including your resume and personal information), explore resources companies have added, and indicate your interest in learning more about companies! If job opportunities are listed currently, you will be able to begin applying through the link featured on the platform. Many booths are still under construction, so be sure to check back later in January 2024 for more!
This event will include networking video calls, so please ensure you are on a device with a video camera and a microphone and are able to participate from a quiet environment. vFairs online events are fully compatible with Desktop (web) on the following browsers when updated to the latest version: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge (chromium version on Windows 10 only).
